Refer a Friend Program  – Terms & Conditions

Promoter:
Christian Newman, Licensed Real Estate Salesperson (REAA 2008)

1. Eligibility

  • The referral program is open to individuals aged 18 years or older.

  • Licensed real estate agents, salespeople, and industry professionals are excluded from participation.

  • Referrals must be made by private individuals only.

2. What Qualifies as a Valid Referral

  • A referral must be for a new buyer or seller who has not previously engaged with Christian Newman regarding the relevant property transaction.

  • The referral must be made prior to first contact between Christian Newman and the referred buyer or seller.

  • Referrals must be submitted in writing (email, message, or form) and include:

    • Referrer’s full name and contact details

    • Referred party’s full name and contact details

    • Confirmation that the referred party has consented to their details being shared

3. Referral Reward

  • A referral fee of $1,000 NZD (incl. GST if applicable) will be paid to the referrer if:

    • The referral results in a successful unconditional sale or purchase of a property, and

    • Christian Newman is the appointed agent involved in the transaction.

  • The reward is payable after settlement of the property transaction.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment will be made by bank transfer within 14 days of settlement.

  • The referrer is responsible for any personal tax obligations arising from receipt of the referral fee.

  • Only one referral payment applies per transaction, regardless of the number of referrers.

5. Exclusions

  • Referral fees will not be paid where:

    • The referred party was already engaged with Christian Newman prior to the referral

    • The referral is made by a licensed real estate professional

    • The transaction does not proceed to an unconditional sale and settlement

    • The referral breaches the Real Estate Agents Act 2008 or REAA Rules

6. Compliance & Discretion

  • This referral program operates in accordance with the Real Estate Agents Act 2008 and relevant regulations.

  • Christian Newman reserves the right to:

    • Decline referrals that do not meet these terms

    • Verify referral eligibility

    • Amend or withdraw the program at any time without prior notice

7. Privacy

  • All personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

  • Referrers confirm they have obtained consent from the referred party before sharing their details.

8. General

  • Participation in the program constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
